Real Weddings | Mr + Mrs Skillen

It’s nearly Christmas and the end of 2015. With 2016 just around the corner, let’s take a look back at one more beautiful and intimate wedding from earlier in the year that took our breath away.

Emma and Matt were married at the Capricorn Cruising Yacht Club on August 7th, 2015. This lovely couple shared an intimate ceremony with 50 of their nearest and dearest family and friends. In keeping things intimate, the couple did not have a bridal party on the day, instead opting to focus on one another.

The couple were married by Deb from Cloud Nine Celebrancy Services with stunning photography captured by Chantelle from Chantelle Stagg Photography.

The Bride found her stunning gown from Event Time in Yeppoon while the groom was dressed by Swarv Menswear, Rockhampton.  Emma and Matt share a love of the ocean and with the coast being a place that brings them both close to their families, it seemed only right to have their wedding somewhere close to the sea.

The newlyweds loved their decision to hire Ruby Caravan, a vintage caravan that services the local area with hot coffee and tea daily. Ruby Caravan also tempts customers with an array of delicious, man-sized sweet treats to make any mouth water. The couple opted for a wedding ‘cheesecake’ that was beautifully created by Flour in Yeppoon.

Ben Beasley kept the guests entertained throughout the evening and the couple danced their first dance as Mr and Mrs to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud”.

We thank Emma and Matt for trusting us with creating their perfect day. We wish them a lifetime filled with love and happiness.
